Zlatan Ibrahimovic would love it if the rumours were true, and Real Madrid’s Portuguese headline makers- Jose Mourinho and Cristiano Ronaldo- were destined to join him at PSG.
The rumour mill has speculated that CR7 could be Paris bound ever since he admitted life at the Bernabeu sometimes makes him “sad.”
And The Special One’s time as manager at the Spanish champions is almost surely destined to come to an end after this season, if not sooner, for a variety of reasons.
While PSG may be continuing to grow thanks to the generous funding of their Qatari owners and manager Carlo Ancelotti’s astute tactical awareness, Ibra is captivated by the thought of playing alongside Ronaldo and under Mourinho.
And the imposing Swedish striker says he would welcome the Portuguese duo at the Parc des Princes if they were to arrive there in the future.
“That would be great news for any team as Mourinho is a great coach, among the best in the world, and Cristiano Ronaldo is also among the best players around,” Zlatan told Marca.
“But at the moment that is not the reality. People can dream about their arrival and speculate, but until it happens you cannot give an answer.”
Meanwhile, Ibra has backed his former manager, Pep Guardiola, after the Catalan tactician opted to join Bayern Munich.
Ibra’s notorious antipathy towards Pep appears to have cooled, and he believes his ex-Barcelona boss can become a success all over again in Bavaria.
“It is his personal decision, what he thinks he should do,” he said.
“I think that is the most important. It is a good opportunity that he can take advantage of. It is a big club, with great players and an impressive structure and organisation. The German mentality is different. He has the same opportunity to repeat the work he did in Barcelona. He will be at one of the five best teams in the world.”
