Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness believes that they have had an "insane season" after bagging the Bundesliga and UEFA Champions League.
The Bavarians beat rivals Borussia Dortmund 2-1 in the Champions League final on Saturday and their season could get even better as they are in line for a treble should they win the DFP-Pokal next Saturday.
Hoeness, though, says that no matter the outcome of the domestic cup final, he believes that the club can be proud of their achievements after breaking a 12-year wait in Europe's elite competition.
"For Bayern Munich, it is an incredible story. We have now won this European title after 12 years," the former striker told reporters after the match.
"The championship was fantastic, but the pinnacle is still the Champions League. We have finally recovered. Thus, this season, no matter what happens in Berlin on Saturday, is an insane season."
Bayern stormed to the Bundesliga title this season, finishing 25 points ahead of Dortmund.
