Gonzalo Higuain has faith Jose Mourinho will see out his contract at Real Madrid amid rumours the former Chelsea boss could jump ship.
Mourinho's future in the Spanish capital has been cast in doubt following the club's faltering title defence, with pace-setting rivals Barcelona 16 points ahead in the standings.
Higuain, though, believes Mourinho remains committed to the Los Blancos cause.
"Mourinho is still Real Madrid's coach and he remains under contract here. I think that he will stay at Madrid," Higuain said at a press conference.
"Everybody's united at Madrid. We all support Mourinho and he backs the team, too."
Higuain, who has scored seven goals in 11 La Liga outings this term, also dismissed talk he was considering leaving the Santiago Bernabeu.
"I ignore all the rumours about my future. I am completely focused on Real Madrid," he insisted.
"I hope to start scoring again as soon as possible, but the most important thing for me is to feel physically well again."
Mourinho is contracted to Real until 2016.
