Bayern Munich coach Jupp Heynckes says that his side did not play to their full potential despite recording a 2-0 win over Furth on Saturday.
The Bavarians got 2013 off to a winning start thanks to a brace from Mario Mandzukic, but the Bayern boss believes that their overall play was not up to scratch.
"We're pleased we've won and kept another clean sheet. But my team knows we didn't play very well today," he told reporters.
"Our play was cramped and not as fluid as we’re used to."
Mandzukic echoed the coach's sentiments, saying that they did not play too well, but he was pleased that they were able to secure the three points.
"It's not important whether I score, it's important we win as a team. We've worked very hard over the last few weeks. We didn't play as well as we can today, but we're happy," added the former Wolfsburg forward.
Bayern currently enjoy a nine point lead at the top of the Bundesliga table.
