Ivorian international forward, Gervinho, will still be an Arsenal player when next season gets underway.
The erratic 26-year-old has struggled to hold down a place in Arsenal’s starting line-up, and with the London club expected to strengthen during the transfer window, he will come under further threat for game time.
Gervinho has been linked by the rumour mill to clubs like Fenerbahce in Turkey, and his former club Lille in France.
But the Elephant insists that he will stay and try to prove that he can be a success at the Emirates.
"I have a contract until 2015 with Arsenal and I intend to honour it,” Gervinho said, according to Sky Sports.
"There is always speculation in the papers, but I am looking forward to a good holiday and to come back to Arsenal.
"I want to win my place in the starting line-up week in, week out."
Is Gervinho good enough to be a first-team regular at Arsenal?
