Germany star, Thomas Muller, has reportedly snubbed a big money offer by Manchester United.
Muller revealed he was subject to an official bid from Old Trafford, but chose to reject the approach by Louis van Gaal, who gave him his first-team debut at Bayern Munich.
“Of course," he told German paper Bild when asked whether United were close to signing him.
"I was aware that I could theoretically earn more with a transfer. The sums that were standing by foreign clubs in the room were already astronomical.
“I can only say: For me, a change was never really an issue anyway. FC Bayern is my club.”
Manchester United are still in the hunt for Louis van Gaal’s stellar signing this summer, with Angel di Maria, Juan Cuadrado and Arturo Vidal all linked to the club.
Muller helped Germany with five goals and three assists and was Bayern’s second best scorer last season.
