A scintillating performance from Bayern Munich and a hat-trick from James Rodriguez saw them thump Mainz 6-0 at the Allianz Arena on Sunday to go back to the top of the German Bundesliga.
Bayern got off to a fast start with the opening goal in the third minute when Robert Lewandowski met a David Alaba cross with a deadly finish, 1-0.
In the 13th minute Kingsley Coman should have doubled the home side's lead when he found some space inside the box, but his shot from close range came off the post.
Just after the hour mark Bayern did find their second goal when Leon Goretzka drove to the by-line and squared for Rodriguez, 2-0.
The home side's dominance was confirmed in the 39th minute when Kingsley Coman found the bottom corner of the net with a powerful 18-yard shot to make it 3-0 at the break.
Six minutes into the second half Rodriguez scored his second goal and his side's fourth when he broke through on goal and made no mistake with just the keeper to beat, 4-0.
In the 55th minute Rodriguez showed a sublime piece of skill when he chipped the goalkeeper from just inside the box to complete his hat-trick, 5-0.
The icing on the cake for Bayern was their sixth goal in the 70th minute courtesy of a clinical finish from Alphonso Davies after latching onto a loose ball inside the box, 6-0.
Bayern took their foot off the pedal after that and cruised to a win which sees them at the top of the table, level on points with Dortmund but with a superior goal difference.
