Bale Praises Lewandowski

Real Madrid record-signing, Gareth Bale, has praised Borussia Dortmund striker, Robert Lewandowski, but remains confident his side can finish the job and progress into the Champions League semi-final.

The Los Blancos enter the return leg against the Germans with a 3-0 advantage, but will remember last year’s semi-final in Dortmund, when Robert Lewandowski scored all four goals in his side's 4-1 over Real.

Lewandowski has missed the first leg due to suspension and will return for the second leg, but Bale believes his side can keep the Poland international quiet this time around.

“He is a great player and has been showing that over the last few years, but we have to concentrate on our own job, like we did in the first leg, defending well," the Welshman told Real Madrid’s website.

“You can't do things any differently when you come up against other good attacking players.

“We have to defend well and I hope the team is at its best for this game."

Lewandowski, meanwhile, who has scored 17 Bundesliga goals this season and has been involved in 50 percent of Dortmund’s Champions League goals since the start of last season, says his side want to set the record straight on Tuesday.

“We are focussed on getting our revenge in the Champions League,” he said.
