Getafe manager Luis Garcia revealed that he did not see Messi’s second wonder goal against his Getafe side in the 2-0 Copa del Rey defeat on Thursday because ‘it was too fast’.
Messi scored twice as his side booked a place in the quarter-finals of Copa del Rey, going through 6-0 on aggregate.
Garcia has admitted that he has no idea how to stop the Argentine superstar and that Messi caused ‘panic’ in opposition defences.
"With a guy that scores so many goals, how do you stop him?” Garcia asked after the game.
"It is a question I talk to other coaches about. He's hard to stop,” he added.
"When (Messi) gets started, he creates panic. You have to play the perfect game.”
"We've not been too bad against Barca."
The Getafe boss then sarcastically stated that Messi’s second goal happened to quickly for him to see.
“I didn’t see his goal, it happened so fast… I’ve seen him do the same against so many teams. Some people say that you can stop him with fouls, but you can’t, he keeps going.”
