Former EPL Manager Responds To Links With Real Madrid

A former coach who has managed in the English Premier League has now responded to reports that his agent met with Real Madrid recently.

Following the sacking of Julen Lopetegui last month, a number of managers have been linked with vacant managerial role at Los Blancos.

One name which has popped up is Belgium coach Roberto Martinez, while Antonio Conte and Jose Mourinho have also reportedly been thrown into the mix.

However, Martinez, who led Belgium to third place at the 2018 World Cup, reveals the Red Devils are his only interested right now.

"I don't want to say whether I or my agent had contact with Real Madrid," he told a news conference, according to FourTwoTwo.

"That is irrelevant and would be of little respect in the run-up to the matches against Switzerland and Iceland. That's what we're doing now."

"I've already said that here in two languages. Should I say it through body language, or sing a song?

"My message will remain the same: the only thing that interests me today is the Belgium team."
