Group C of the 2013 U20 World Cup in Turkey was blown wide open on Wednesday night while the action in Group D saw Mexico unable to qualify for the knockout stages.
Colombia went to the top of Group C as they ran out slender 1-0 winners over hosts Turkey in their 2013 FIFA U20 World Cup match on Tuesday night.
A 52nd minute goal from Juan Quintero at the Rize's Yeni Sehir Stadium was enough to hand the South Americans the win and take them to fur points in the group from two matches played.
The result leaves the host nation in second place on three points as the other match in the group saw El Salvador beat Australia 2-1 at the same stadium earlier in the day.
Australia took an early lead through a ninth minute goal by Joshua Brillante before El Salvador fought back with a goal from Diego Coca in the 17th minute and then the winner from Jose Pena in the 40th minute.
The win saw El Salvodor up to third in the group with three points while Australia props up the bottom of Group C with one point.
A 52nd minute goal from Derlis Gonzalez saw Paraguay beat Mexico 1-0 in their Group D 2013 FIFA U20 World Cup match at the Kamil Ocak Stadium on Tuesday night.
The result means Mexico will bow out of the tournament while Paraguay move onto four points at the top of the group alongside Greece who drew 0-0 with Mali later on in the night at the same stadium.
For Mali they sit in third place in Group D with two points and an outside chance of qualifying for the knockout stages.
