Argentina 0-4 Germany
Germany cruised to a comfortable 4-0 victory over Argentina to record their second consecutive victory at the U17 World Cup. Three of the four goals came in a dominant first-half performance, with Vitaly Janelt, Johannes Eggestein and Captain Felix Passlack all getting on the scoresheet in the first stanza. The win means the European side have now qualified for the knockout stages.
Ecuador 1-2 Mali
Mali secured a deserved win over Ecuador, although they made life tough for themselves in Talca. The Africans scored early in each half of a match they dominated, but a goal from Ecuador with 20 minutes remaining left the contest in the balance until the final whistle.
Belgium 2-1 Honduras
Belgium edged Honduras in a 2-1 win after the sides' played out an entertaining and balanced match in Group D. Both teams began the game cautiously, intent on not conceding the first goal, but it was Belgium who opened the scoring after 21 minutes. Honduras equalised after half-time, but then saw themselves concede in the 78th minute.
Australia 0-0 Mexico
Australia and Mexico played out to a tense goalless draw in Chile, which sees the Mexicans close in on a knockout berth, but does the Joeys little good in their task of reaching the Round of 16.
