When Bursaspor play Galatasaray in the Turkish League on 2 Ferbruary Anton Ferdinand will find himself marking Didier Drogba again.
The two players clashed numerous times when Drogba was a Chelsea player, and Ferdinand played for Sunderland and QPR.
Defender Ferdinand has now followed Drogba to Turkey, after the big Ivorian striker joined Gala and he joined Bursaspor.
Ferdinand- best known for his racist run-in with Drogba’s former skipper at Chelsea, John Terry, will stay at Bursaspor on loan until the end of the season, having failed to impress manager Harry Redknapp at QPR.
It will surely be a feisty encounter. Bursaspor are in seventh spot in the Turkish league, nine points behind leaders Gala.
Also on display during the game will be former Liverpool and England ‘keeper, Scott Carson, and pint-sized Dutch midfieler Wesley Sneijder.
Carson has found a new lease on life between the sticks for Bursaspor, while Sneijder recently completed his acrimonious departure from Inter Milan to Galatasaray.
