New Manchester United signing Marouane Fellaini is hoping to become one of the greats at the Red Devils after comparing himself to the likes of Roy Keane.
The Belgium international signed for United from Evertonin the final minutes of the transfer day deadline for £27.5million.
Now he is hoping to make an impact at the club which the likes of David Beckham, Eric Cantona and Roy Keane made.
Often viewed as an attacking player, though, Fellaini has admitted he wants to play the defensive midfield role much like Keane did in his hay day.
“Roy Keane was an aggressive player who could win every ball,” said Fellaini.
“Maybe I can do this as well.
“I can win the ball. I can clear the ball. I can play clean.
“The manager must decide where I play, but I want to play defensive midfield.
“In the past they have had (Eric) Cantona, Keane, (David) Beckham. I hope (I can do it too). I will work hard for this.”
The Belgium international could make his debut today for United as they take on Crystal Palace this afternoon.
