Zinedine Zidane and Thierry Henry are two former players who achieved many things on the playing field but have now turned their attention to management and coaching. With certain jobs possibly becoming available in the next few months, here are eight former footballers who have been linked with taking over the hot seats at their former clubs.

One position that could become available in the next couple of months is the Arsenal job. Arsene Wenger's time at the Emirates seems close to an end, with large sections of the club's supporters turning on him and the team. With the results looking pretty dismal of late, the Daily Mirror has linked former Arsenal captain and now Manchester City assistant coach Mikel Arteta as a possible replacement for the French manager.

According to Marca, Zinedine Zidane's future at Real Madrid is also not looking too bright, and some believe that winning the UEFA Champions League is the only thing that could save him now. The Spanish publication has linked former midfielder Guti as a possible successor if the Frenchman is told to leave his post.

Although Jurgen Klopp's position as Liverpool manager seems pretty safe, there are constant whispers in the media that club legend Steven Gerrard will take over the helm at some point. The 37-year-old is currently coaching in the youth structures of the club, and seems to be excelling in his role.
