On Sunday Emmanuel Adebayor scored a brace as Tottenham beat Swansea 3-1, while Samuel Eto'o added to David Moyes' woes, when the Cameroonian scored a hat-trick as Chelsea beat Manchester United 3-1.
Everton travel to West Brom on Monday night.
In Spain on Saturday, Real Madrid joined Atletico Madrid and Barcelona on 50 points at the top of the table after crushing Real Betis 5-0.
Barcelona moved top for a short time on Sunday, but only by 1 point as they had to comeback to draw 1-1 at Levante.
In the late game on Sunday Atletico Madrid joined Barcelona on 51 points at the top of the table as they drew 1-1 with Sevilla.
