Ruud Krol has been named the new coach of Esperance Sportive de Tunis, having signed a three year contract with the Tunisian club.
Last season the Dutchman was in charge of fellow Tunisian club CS Sfaxien, and together they won the CAF Confederation Cup.
The former Orlando Pirates coach also had a short as caretaker coach for the Tunisian national side, however was unable to help the team overcome Cameroon in the World Cup Qualifying Play-offs.
"Esperance signed a 3-year contract with Krol to be in charge of the team," it said on Esperance’s official website.
"The management will hold a press conference on Tuesday to introduce the new coach who will lead the first football team, while French Desabre will coach the youth team.”
