QPR 0-0 Norwich City: Ade Taarabt failed to convert a 56th minute penalty as they were held to a 0-0 draw at home to the Canaries. The R's finished the game strongly but their failure to make the most of their chances ensured that pressure continued to grow in their bid to secure safety.
Reading 2-1 Sunderland: Reading continued their superb run of form as they saw off the Black Cats on Saturday. Jimmy Kebe had put the hosts ahead in the seventh minute but a penalty from Craig Gardner 22 minutes later brought the game level. Reading have been masters at late comebacks in recent weeks and Kebe ensured that they continued that trend as he struck the winner with five minutes to go.
West Ham United 1-0 Swansea City: Andy Carroll came back with a bang as he helped the Hammers claim victory at home to the Swans. The on-loan Liverpool forward had not started since suffering injury back in November. The England striker proved difficult to deal with for the Swans as West Ham employed a long-ball tactic and Carroll would tuck away the winner with 13 minutes to go.
Wigan Athletic 2-2 Southampton: The Latics secured a point thanks to a late strike from Shaun Maloney on Saturday. Gary Caldwell had put the hosts ahead but goals in the second-half from Rickie Lambert and Morgan Schneiderlin had turned things around before Maloney's dramatic winner.
