Arsenal Held At Leicester

Leicester City held Arsenal to a 1-1 draw in their Premier League encounter at the King Power stadium on Sunday evening.

Leonardo Ulloa cancelled out Santi Carzola’s strike to hand Leicester an impressive draw. Arsenal moved to 5 points while Leicester City still without a win moved to 2 points.

The first chance fell to Arsenal's in the fifth minute when Santi Carzola tried his luck from range but the Spaniards shot went straight to Kasper Scheimichel.

Riyad Mahrez came close for Leicester in the 17th minute after some good one touch play opened space for him to unleash a shot from range which just went wide.

Arsenal took the lead in the 20th minute courtesy of Alexis Sanchez who tapped in from close-range after being set up Yaya Sanogo, 1-0.

However the home team replied with a goal of their own two minutes later as Leonardo Ulloa headed in a Jeff Schlupp cross from the left wing to level matters, 1-1.

Defender Laurent Koscielny had to leave the game half-way through the first half after sustaining a head injury earlier in the half.

The teams went into half-time level despite Arsenal dominating possession while Leicester looked threatening on the break.

Ulloa missed a glorius chance to give leicester the lead in the 55th minute after he got the beating of Calum Chambers before firing wide with only Wojciech Szczesny to beat.

On the other end, in the 57th minute, Schmeichel produced a fine block to deny Sanogo from close range.

It was a lively second period with both teams having a go at each however, a goal remained elusive.

In the 83rd minute Leicester should have scored  after a swift counter-attack saw Marc Albrighton in on goal but his shot was brilliantly saved by Szczensy.
