The spoils were shared at the Emirates stadium on Saturday as Arsenal and Manchester City played to an entertaining 1-1 draw in an English Premier League match.
City failed to go top of the table as they sit in second place on 67 points, two points shy of league leaders Chelsea but having played a game less.
The start of the match saw City controlling early possession with David Silva pulling the strings in midfield.
The away side made their pressure tell in the 17th minute when Silva slipped Edin Dzeko into space inside the box, but he saw his shot hit the woodwork before rebounding back to Silva who tucked the ball home with ease, 1-0.
Arsenal thought they had found the equalizer four minutes later when Mathieu Flamini found the back of the net after connecting with a Lukas Podolski cross, but he was adjudge off-side and the goal was disallowed.
The rest of the half saw most of the play concentrated in the midfield as both teams defended stoically to take the game to the break with City leading 1-0.
The start of the second 45 saw Arsenal playing the better football and they quickly equalized in the 53rd minute when Flamini scuffed a Podolski cross into the net from 12-yards out, 1-1.
Six minutes later only a brilliant save from Joe Hart kept the scores level when he denied Podolski in a one-on-one situation.
In the 75th minute City looked certain to score as Dzeko rounded Wojciech Szczesny, but in doing so was pushed wide and could not get a shot on target.
Both teams threw men forward in attack in the closing stages as game opened up quite a bit, but neither side could find the winner as the spoils were shared.
