English Premier League Afternoon Wrap

Aston Villa 3 - 2  Manchester City: Yaya Toure carried on his great run of goal scoring form from midfield to give the visitors the lead on the strike of half-time at Villa Park. Karim El Ahmadi equalised for Villa six minutes into the second-half after a through ball by Leandro Bacuna. The hosts were only level for five minutes before City took the lead once more through striker Edin Dzeko. Bacuna then grabbed another equaliser before a 75th minute winner by Andreas Weimann.

Fulham1 – 2 Cardiff City: Bryan Ruiz scored on the stroke of half-time for the Londoners at Craven Cottage, with a fierce left footed shot from outside the box to the top left corner to equalise after Steven Caulker had given the visitors from Wales a 12th minute lead. Jordon Mutch then scored a dramatic last minute winner for Cardiff to claim an important away win for the newly promoted side.

Hull City 1 – 0 West Ham United: A 12th minute penalty by Robert Brady after a Joey O'Brien was enough to give the home side a win over the London visitors.

Southampton 2 – 0 Crystal Palace: Kagisho Dikgacoi could not cap his return to the Crystal Palace line-up with an away win, when his team went down to Southampton at St Mary’s Stadium. New signing from AS Roma, Pablo Daniel Osvaldo scored his first goal in the Premiership after an assist by Adam Lallana in the 47th minute before a wonderful free-kick by Rickie Lambert put the tie beyond Dikgacoi’s men two minutes later.
