England strolled to a massive 8-0 win away to San Marino in their 2014 World Cup qualifier on Friday night.
The Three Lions were on top throughout the game and saw six of their players get on the scoresheet, while Della Valle put the ball in his own net.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain hit the crossbar just 10 minutes in after Wayne Rooney had lifted a pass up to him but the opener arrived two minutes later.
Leighton Baines was played in on the flank and his first-time cross was turned in by Della Valle, with Rooney waiting to tap home.
Jermain Defoe somehow nodded over four minutes later but Oxlade-Chamberlain would slot their second in the 28th minute after exchanging passes with Rooney.
Defoe had a goal ruled out in the 34th minute for offside but just a minute later the Tottenham Hotspur man would get on the scoresheet when he tapped home after Oxlade-Chamberlain had flicked on a Rooney cross.
Four minutes later Ashley Young made it 4-0 with a sensational strike from 30 yards out that went in off the crossbar.
The game was wrapped up by the 41st minute as Frank Lampard produced a cool finish after Rooney had stepped over a cross from Baines.
Rooney would get a goal of his own after the break with a free-kick that dipped over the wall and swung into the bottom corner.
Chances continued to flow for the visitors and Daniel Sturridge would make it 7-0 with a free header after being found by a chipped cross from Young.
Defoe then completed his brace with a neat backheel in the 77th minute and despite having a few more chances, he was unable to complete his hat-trick.
England had already done enough though and eased to an emphatic win.
