Paris Saint-Germain striker, Edinson Cavani, insists he can lead the French champions into the Champions League semi-final.
With Zlatan Ibrahimovic side-lined for their return leg at Stamford Bridge, Cavani will be PSG’s central forward and believes he is better when played as the lonely striker.
The Uruguay international, who has often used on wing this season, has scored 19 goals for PSG and his goal in PSG’s 3-0 over Reims on Saturday ended a run of five games in all competitions without scoring.
“I am better in the axis,” he told L’Equipe.
“This is normal; this is my job. It’s a great responsibility for me.”
PSG enter the game with a 3-1 advantage, but face a difficult task at Stamford Bridge, where Chelsea are a real force under Jose Mourinho.
The French side were eliminated by Barcelona at the same stage last season, but Cavani urges his side to stay to remain focussed and finish the job on Tuesday.
“We have a great advantage. We will be very focused,” he added.
“It will be hard but we can do it. We have a responsibility to finish the job.”
