Paris Saint-Germain striker, Edinson Cavani, has stated he is happy at the French champions despite being linked to Manchester United.
The 27-year-old joined PSG from Napoli for €64.5 million last summer and scored 16 goals in 30 Ligue 1 games.
However, he didn’t have as much impact as expected and failed to replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic when the Sweden star was injured.
Cavani has been continuously linked with a move to Manchester United this summer as PSG needs some cash injection to apply with FFP rules and finance Angel di Maria’s transfer.
"I'm sure to stay in Paris next season, why would I not? I feel very good in Paris. I have a contract with PSG to respect. I prefer to be here,” Cavani said as quoted by Eurosport.
“But as I already said, that does not depend only on me. There are other things that can happen in the club.”
Most recently, PSG removed the Uruguay international from some marketing material which ignited the debate whether he would leave the club.
Other reports in the media suggest that Chelsea want Cavani and claim that the striker is eager for a move to Stamford Bridge.
