Chelsea starlet, Eden Hazard, has appeared to question Jose Mourinho’s tactics after his side’s Champions League exit against Atletico Madrid.
The Blues’ manager was criticized for his ‘negative’ tactics and ‘unwatchable’ football in the first leg as well as in their Premier League match against Liverpool, but this time their defence leaked three goals.
Hazard was seemingly frustrated with Mourinho’s approach and the fact that his side gave away their lead so quickly.
"Chelsea aren't set up to play football," the Belgian told beIN SPORTS.
"Chelsea are set up to counter-attack - a little bit like Real against Bayern.
“I don't know what we lacked. After scoring, we had the game in our hands. Maybe they wanted it more than we did."
The criticism won't be well-received by Mourinho and French giants, Paris Saint-Germain, who are keen to sign Hazard in the summer transfer window, will be monitoring the situation very carefully.
The defeat ensured Mourinho’s fourth consecutive elimination in a Champions League semi-final and if the Blues won’t win the Premier League, it will be his first year without a trophy at Stamford Bridge.
