Despite speculation suggesting Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko could be on his way out of the club, the Bosnian international said he is enjoying the Sky Blues preseason tour and is looking forward to the start of the English Premiership.
It was Dzeko’s solitary goal that earned City a 1-0 win over Sunderland in the Asia Trophy on Saturday at the rain-drenched Hong Kong Stadium to give Manuel Pellegrini his first trophy since taking over at City, albeit in a friendly competition.
Dzeko has now set his sights on success with Manchester City idespite rumours suggesting he could be leaving the club.
"Two games, two wins. It is definitely good after we lost the first two games of pre-season. I think it was very useful for us and also for the coach to see his new players," said Dzeko.
"We had a good pre-season with the new manager and all of us are definitely looking forward to the Premier League. We want to achieve some good things next season."
