Schalke's young forward Julian Draxler has admitted that he would be open to a move to one of Europe’s bigger clubs in the future, even though the 20-year old is happy at Schalke.
Draxler has been highly rated as one of the best young talents in world football recently and he has been linked to clubs such as Arsenal, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Chelsea in the past.
The upcoming German star chose to stay with Schalke in the off-season but will not rule out a move in the near future and fulfil his dream to play for ‘one of the big clubs’.
“I owe Schalke a lot, I have always been at Schalke. I need to emphasise this. But I’m not so rooted here that I could not tear myself away,” he said.
“I can honestly say that it is my dream to play for one of the big clubs at some point.”
“You don’t have to be playing for the very top clubs in Europe to draw attention to yourself, but if you want to achieve the great goals that the world-class players have, then one of them is playing at the biggest clubs in the world.”
When asked where the young Schalke star would prefer to play he mentioned the usual suspects, with the Spanish giants as well as some of the big English clubs being named.
“The big two in Spain – Real and Barcelona – Bayern and a few others from England, namely Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea,” Draxler said.
