Bayern Munich midfielder, Toni Kroos, has reportedly urged his club to negotiate a move for him to Real Madrid.
The Germany international has been linked with a move to Manchester United, but Louis van Gaal seems to have other transfer targets for the summer.
According to Spanish paper El Confidencial, Kroos is keen for a move to Bernabeu and reportedly urging the Bayern bosses to listen to offers from Madrid.
Kroos' contract at Bayern runs for another year and it’s unlikely that it will be extended after the club and the player have been struggling to agree on a new salary.
The 24-year-old has been subject to major transfer speculation this summer, with Chelsea also linked to his services.
Kroos himself is preparing with Germany’s national team for the World Cup in Brazil, but has recently stated he would be ‘very surprised’ if Bayern let him leave before end of his contract in 2015.
"The club was very clear and told me that a transfer in 2014 would not be possible,” he said recently.
"There have been many speculations, but Manchester United was never an issue and is no issue right now."
Meanwhile, Real’s top midfield targets remain one of Juventus’ two central midfielders, Paul Pogba or Arturo Vidal.
