Cristiano Ronaldo is unlikely to play against Borussia Dortmund tonight after he had to leave the training pitch with just 20 minutes into the practice.
It was again his left knee which gave him troubles after the warm-up. The Portuguese headed to the dressing room with a physiotherapist and looked concerned when leaving the pitch.
Earlier on Real Madrid coach, Carlo Ancelotti, had confirmed that his superstar will only play if he is 100 percent fit for the Champions League second leg in Germany.
"Cristiano Ronaldo feels that he is at 100 percent, so we are confident that he will feature," the Italian said.
"If he’s 100 percent he’ll play and if not he won’t.
"Cristiano always wants to play and I want him to play. But he is a professional and knows when he can't.”
Ronaldo equalled Lionel Messi’s competition record by scoring his 14th Champions League goal of the season in Real’s comfortable 3-0 victory in the first leg against last year’s finalists, but he had to come off in the 79th minute due to knee problems.
He was rested for Real’s La Liga game at Real Sociedad on Saturday, but had returned to practice on Sunday.
