Cristiano Ronaldo has claimed there was ‘bad atmosphere’ at Real Madrid under Jose Mourinho.
The Portuguese only won three trophies in three years at Bernabeu – as many as Carlo Ancelotti has won in one year already – and reportedly lost the dressing room at the end of his reign.
"(Mourinho’s time was) a difficult period both for me and for the club. There were clashes with other players too and even with the fans,” Ronaldo told Portuguese TV channel ITV.
"The only coach I've worked under whom I'd call a friend is Alex Ferguson, that's it.
“That includes (Manuel) Pellegrini and (Carlo) Ancelotti, whom I get on really well with. I'm not in football to make friends. I'm in it to win.”
The new UEFA Best Player in Europe also revealed that he looking after his diet and puts in extra-shifts before and after every training session.
"I don't eat fry-ups, burgers or fast food or drink fizzy drinks, although I'm blessed with good genes, so I could eat whatever I wanted", he added
"You can ask my teammates: I'm always one of the first to arrive and among the last to leave.”
Ronaldo has been omitted from the Portugal squad in order to recover from new muscles problems.
