Cristiano Ronaldo has fuelled the heavy speculation suggesting that he could move from the Santiago Bernabeu this summer by denying claims that he is about to renew his contract.
Reports in Spain on Thursday had claimed that the Portugal international was close to signing a new deal which would keep him at Los Blancos until 2018.
Club president Florentino Perez has already revealed that he hopes the striker will stay but Ronaldo has been a lot less vocal about his intentions.
The winger has been linked with a possible return to Manchester United, with reports in England saying that United are readying a bumper offer.
Other reports claim that Real's pursuit of Tottenham Hotspur star Gareth Bale could pave the way for Ronaldo's move. Nevertheless, one thing is certain - this saga is set to drag on a little longer.
"All the news about my renewal with Real Madrid are false," he said via his official Twitter account.
Ronaldo has also been linked with big-money moves to French spenders Paris Saint-Germain and Monaco. His current contract at Madrid expires in 2015.
