Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has confirmed that he aims to stay at Atletico Madrid on loan for a third season.
The 21-year-old has been impressive in his two campaigns with los Rojiblancos, having won the Europa League, the UEFA Super Cup and the Copa del Rey.
The Belgium international is keen on enjoying regular game time, and not playing backup to Petr Cech - which is likely if he returns to Stamford Bridge this summer.
"I've chosen to stay at Atletico," Courtois told reporters.
"I have to continue playing and at Chelsea there's (Petr) Cech who has always been a great goalkeeper.
"At Atletico I'm sure I can play and I can continue to be the first-choice keeper of the Red Devils (Belgium). In the course of the season, we will see if I return to London."
