Fulham have captured playmaker Adel Taarabt on a season-long loan deal from QPR.
The Morocco international becomes Cottagers boss Martin Jol's sixth signing of the summer following permanent moves for goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg, defenders Sascha Riether and Fernando Amorebieta, midfielder Derek Boateng and forward Ange-Freddy Plumain.
Taarabt, who worked with Jol at Tottenham, revealed his desire to remain in the Premier League prompted the switch.
"This was a difficult decision for me, but at this stage of my career I feel I need to be playing at the top level," said the 24-year-old.
"I hope the fans understand my decision and I really hope to return to Loftus Road one day.
"I wish QPR well for the season and hope they achieve promotion back to where I believe the club belongs."
Jol previously worked with Taarabt at Tottenham.
