Manchester City’s chief executive, Ferran Soriano, has ruled out bids for in-demand stars Radamel Falcao and Neymar.
The English Premier League side were rumoured to be interested in Atletico Madrid’s Colombian star Falcao, with his fellow South American, Carlos Tevez, considered to be the player to make way at the Etihad.
Neymar meanwhile, is expected to sign for Barcelona. But City were believed to be one of the other European teams Santos intimated they were listening to, regarding a potential transfer for the young Brazilian international.
However, Soriano insists that there is no truth in the speculation that City are after the Latin hot commodities.
"Neymar and Falcao? [These reports are] false, they have never been on our agenda," Soriano told Tuttomercatoweb.com.
Soriano also moved to the nip the speculation that Sergio Aguero could leave in the bud.
Aguero has been linked to a return to Spain with Real Madrid, but Soriano maintains that the Argentine striker will be a City man next season.
"The first thing I want to emphasise is that we have never thought of selling Aguero,” he said.
“El Kun will be happy to stay with us this year.”
