Joleon Lescott could have put City ahead just nine minutes in but the defender lifted his finish over from close range.

QPR hit back through Adel Taraabt who surged forward but was denied by a fantastic save by Joe Hart with five minutes left in the half.
Gareth Barry then drew a smart save from Julio Cesar with a powerful strike after combining with Carlos Tevez.
QPR continued to defend bravely after the break but City were pressing and Sergio Aguero missed a great chance in the 73rd minute when he fluffed his volley.
Silva was blocked by a brilliant close-rage save from Cesar with seven minutes to go while Scott Sinclair saw his appeals waved away following a great tackle from Nedum Onuoha in the 87th minute as the points were shared.
