City Edge Five-Goal Thriller

Manchester City moved to the top of the Premier League temporarily, after they beat Swansea City 3-2 at the Liberty Stadium.

Edin Dzeko had early effort at goal with just three minutes gone, the striker fired just wide from the edge of the area after being picked out by Alvaro Negredo.

Two minutes later Wilfried Bony came close for the home side, as the Ivorian's drilled effort from distance, clipped the outside of the post.

Fernandino put Man City ahead in the 13th minute with a drilled shot from just inside the are, after Samir Nasri's corner was deflected into the path of the Brazilian.

Jonathon De Guzman had a chance to bring the Swans level in the 24th minute, after some good build up play, Bony played in De Guzman but the Dutchman could only fire straight at Joe Hart.

Bony came close again in the 43rdth minute, the striker fired just wide after a neat one-two with Jonjo Shelvy.

Three minutes later and Bony equalised for Swansea with a well placed header, following De Guzman's cross from the right.

Negredo failed to take advantage of a Chico Flores error in the 50th minute, the striker did well to disposes Flores but his effort lacked the power to beat Gerhard Tremmel.

Yaya Toure put the visitors in the 57th minute with a deflected effort off Ashley Williams, after the midfielder did well to create space for himself.

Aleksander Kolarov got City's third in the 65th, after the defender pounced on  loose ball, cut in from the left and let rip from the edge of the box.

Bony nearly grabbed a goal back for Swansea in the 71st minute with a powerful left-footed shoot, which Hart comfortably punched away.

Bony got Swansea's second in the 90th minute with a thunderous effort from distance, which gave Hart no chance.
