Former France and Real Madrid star Christian Karembeu has named his five-a-side dream team, and surprisingly snubbed FC Barcelona forward Lionel Messi and Los Blancos talisman Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Frenchman played for seven different clubs during his career, but is mostly known for the periods he spent with Real, Middlesbrough and Olympiacos.
The 2008 FIFA World Cup winner's team consisted entirely of former Real teammates of his, with club legend Iker Casillas in goal, and Clarence Seedorf and Fernando Redondo holding the midfield. Up front, he went with former strikers Raul and Fernando Morientes.
Here is Karembeu's Five-A-Side Dream Team:
Goalkeeper: Iker Casillas (Real Madrid)
Midfield: Clarence Seedorf (Real Madrid)
Midfield: Fernando Redondo (Real Madrid)
Striker: Raul (Real Madrid)
Striker: Fernando Morientes (Real Madrid)
Karembeu has lifted the UEFA Champions League twice in his career, along with the World Cup, the European Championship and the FIFA Confederations Cup.
