Zambia were in a rampant mood as they romped to a 4-0 win over Lesotho on Saturday to remain at the top of Group D in the 2014 World Cup qualifiers.
The brilliant Jacob Mulenga scored on either side of a goal from Christopher Katongo and Collins Mbesuma wrapped up the result with seven minutes to go.
Zambia came into the game needing a result after they had been held to a draw in Lesotho in their last qualifier and the showed their intentions from the start.
Katongo fire a long-range strike just off-target in the 23rd minute while Tsepo Lekhooana let fly with a volley which worked the goalkeeper.
Zambia always looked to be the more dangerous team though and they would hit the front in the 36th minute in spectacular fashion when Mulenga rattled the back of the net with an overhead kick off of a Katongo cross.
The hosts continued to dominate and they would extend their advantage in the 61st minute when Fwayo Tembo picked out Katongo who finished with a downward header.
Three minutes later it was 3-0 as Mulenga tucked the ball away from close range following a goalmouth scramble.
Chipolpolo were not done yet though and after James Chamanga's shot came off the post, Mbesuma was waiting to tuck away the rebound and complete the win.
