Manchester United striker, Javier Hernandez, is reportedly growing impatient over his unregular game time at Old Trafford, and is hoping a Mata transfer could pave the way for him to leave the club.
The Mexican international is understood to be frustrated with his lack of first-team action under new United boss, David Moyes, and fears this could scupper his World Cup hopes.
According to The Sun, Chicharito is prepared to leave United before the end of this transfer window in order to play more first-team football.
Inter Milan are interested in signing the striker but United are rumoured to want at least £15m.
Hernandez has only started 10 out of United’s 35 games in all competitions so far this season and this is despite frequent injuries to United’s main strikers, Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie.
He joined the Red Devils in summer 2010 and scored 20 goals in his debut season. His total tally is 57 goals in 140 appearances.
Wednesday’s Capital One Cup exit against Sunderland was Hernandez’ first start of the year, but with Rooney and Van Persie nearing their comebacks, Hernandez is unlikely to become a regular starter for struggling Man United.
