Chelsea Accept Man Utd's Mata Offer

Chelsea  have accepted the transfer offer for Juan Mata from Manchester United, believed to be a club record £37 million.

United's official Twitter accounted tweeted on Friday night that the two clubs had come to an agreement, and that the deal was subject to the player and club agreeing on personal terms and a medical.

The 25 year old Spanish midfielder joined Chelsea in 2011 for a reported £23.5 million from Valancia.

The tweets read, "CONFIRMED: #mufc has reached agreement with Chelsea for the transfer of Juan Mata for a club-record fee. #mufcmata"

"The deal for Mata is subject to a medical and the agreement of personal terms. A further announcement will be made in due course. #mufcmata"
