Cesc Fabregas has hit out at the continuing speculation that he will leave Barcelona before next season.
The former Arsenal skipper attempted to quell the rumours earlier this week, but the football media maintains that he could be in line for a return to the English Premier League.
The arrival of Neymar at Barcelona is cited as evidence that Fabregas will suffer further frustration in his quest for regular game time.
But the Spanish international midfielder is adamant that his future remains at the Camp Nou.
And he has attempted to draw a line under further speculation by labelling rumours of his exit as “absurd.”
"I've always said I'm delighted at Barca," he told Marca.
"Whoever says I'm leaving doesn't know me and has never talked to me or my agent, because he knows I don't want him to talk with other peolple about me.
“I'm very private and don't talk about those issues, even with my family.
"If anybody says something different than that I want to play for Barcelona, that's absurd."
