New Everton signing, Samuel Eto’o, has insisted he is over the spat with Jose Mourinho and is not thinking about revenge when he faces his former club on Saturday.
Eto’o signed a two-year deal at Goodison Park on Tuesday and confirmed he has forgotten about his spat with the Portuguese after calling him a ‘fool’ and ‘puppet’
"The only thing I have to say regarding Jose Mourinho is to thank him,” he said at his unveiling.
"It's down to Jose Mourinho that I had the opportunity to be accepted into the Premier League and play some great matches. I thank him for that."
Eto'o, who scored nine goals in 21 league appearances for Chelsea last season, could make his Everton debut against his former side in the Premier League on Saturday, but says the idea of taking revenge against Mourinho is not on his mind.
"I'm not too concerned about the fact that it's against my ex-team," he added.
"The important thing is to integrate with my new team-mates and get myself ready during training to make sure I'm ready for the match if called on.
"Even if I don't feature, it's important for me to get into the head of the team as I train and prepare for each match."
