CAF World Cup Qualifying Round-Up

Group A:

Bafana Bafana gave themselves a real chance of heading to the summit of the table with a 3-0 win over Central African Republic. Ethiopia were not about to make things easy though as they beat Botswana 2-1 to stay top.

Group B:

Tunisia remained five points clear at the top of Group B with a 2-2 draw at Sierra Leone. The hosts had twice taken the lead but Tunisia struck late on to share the spoils. Cape Verde Island were victorious on the day, beating Equatorial Guinea 2-1.

Group C

Ivory Coast remained in control of the group with a 3-0 win over Gambia while Morocco claimed a 2-1 win over Tanzania later in the day.

Group D:

Zambia moved back to the top of Group D with a thumping 4-0 win over Lesotho - cancelling out Ghana's win over Sudan on Friday.

Group E:

Congo remained firmly in control in Group E after playing out a goalless draw in Gabon, which left them on 10 points. The result also means that Burkina Faso or Niger have a chance to go second on Sunday.

Group J:

Uganda continued their unbeaten run at home with victory over Liberia while Senegal were held away to Angola. The results mean that Group J remains wide open with all four teams still in with a shot of finishing top.
