Nurnberg 4-0 Hoffenheim:
Nurnberg crushed Hoffenheim 4-0 at the EasyCredit-Stadion on Saturday. Timothy Chandler opened the scoring for the home side with a long-range effort which flew into the bottom corner. Nurnberg then doubled their lead in the final five minutes of the first half through Josip Drmic. Striker Daniel Ginczek then grabbed the host’s third in the 48th minute of the game to all but kill off the match, before Drmic scored his second and Nurnberg’s fourth.
Freiburg 3-2 Bayer Leverkusen:
Freiburg came from behind twice to overcome second-placed Bayer Leverkusen 3-2 at the Mage Solar Stadion on Saturday. Sami Hypia’s men took the lead in the fourth minute through Lars Bender before Admir Mehmedi equalised for Freiburg. Leverkusen grabbed the lead for a second time in the first-half when Simon Rolfes headed home in the 35th minute. Jonathan Schmid equalised for a second time with a well-taken free-kick before Felix Klaus grabbed a last minute winner for the hosts.
Stuttgart 1-2 Mainz:
Stuttgart opened the scoring at the Gotleib-Damler Stadion through a close-range finish from Mohammed Abdellaoue in the 11th minute. Mainz then equalised when Shinji Okazaki found space in the box and fired home in the 39th minute. The visitors then grabbed all three points when Benedikt Saller found the bottom corner with just three minutes remaining.
Wolfsburg 1-3 Hannover:
Hannover picked up a comfortable away win as they dispatched Wolfsburg 3-1 at the Volkswagen Arena. Artjoms Rudnevs opened the scoring for the visitors in the 28th minute until Ivica Olic made it 1-1 almost 10 minutes later. Leonardo Bittencourt then scored in the 50th and 72nd minute to wrap up the tie.
Eintracht Frankfurt 1-0 Hertha Berlin:
Alexander Meier scored 10 minutes before half-time to earn the Eagles all three points and take them back above Freiburg thanks to their first home win of the Bundesliga season.
