Schalke 04 2-0 Hertha Berlin:

Nigerian international Chinedu Obasi put in a match winning performance as he opened the scoring and setup another in his side’s 2-0 home win over Hertha Berlin on Friday. The Nigerian winger opened the scoring in the 16th minute and then slipped in a through ball for Klaas Jan Huntelaar to grab his side’s second and kill off the tie.

Bayer Leverkusen 1-1 TSV Eintracht Braunschweig:

Bayer Leverkusen came from a goal down to rescue a point at home when they shared the spoils 1-1 up against Eintracht Braunschweig. Ken Reichel broke the deadlock as the second-half kicked off but Leverkusen’s top scorer Stefan Kiessling saved the hosts with his 53rd minute equaliser.

Mainz 3-0 FC Augsburg:

Mainz picked up a first win in three games as they continue to battle for a European spot with a 3-0 home win over Augsburg. Goals from Niko Bungert, an own goal from Marwin Hitz and Johannes Geis gave Thomas Tuchel's side all three points and a comfortable victory at the Coface Arena.

VfL Wolfsburg 2-1 Eintracht Frankfurt:

Wolfsburg defender Naldo scored a last minute winner for the home side as they narrowly beat Eintracht Frankfurt 2-1 at the Volkswagen Arena. Stefan Aigner gave the visitors an 11th minute lead until Croatian striker Ivica Olic’s penalty. Naldo’s spectacular long range effort then claimed all three points for the Wolves as they remain in the hunt for a Champions League place.

SC Freiburg 3-2 Nurnberg:

Freiburg came from behind twice to beat Nurnberg 3-2 in a five goal thriller at the Mage Solar Stadion on Saturday. Nurnberg took an early lead through Emanuel Pogatetz but Freiburg Pavel Krmas equalised 15 minutes later. A Josip Drmic penalty then gave the visitors the lead once more until the hosts responded with a penalty of their own, which was taken by Admir Mehmedi. Felix Klaus then found the top corner with his 65th minute strike to earn the hosts all three points.
