FC Schalke beat FC Augsburg 4-1 thanks to a brace from Adam Szalai, a Kevin-Prince Boateng penalty and another goal from Max Meyer. Sascha Mölders scored for Augsburg.
Borussia Mönchengladbach ended Borussia Dortmund's unbeaten run, as they won 2-0 at home thanks to late goals from Max Kruse and Raffael.

Stuttgart and Werder Bremen played to a 1-1 draw at the Mercedes-Benz Arena. Martin Harnik scored for the home team, while Nils Petersen got Bremen's goal
Eintracht Braunschweig got their first win of the season as they travelled to Wolfsburg and won 2-0. Karim Bellarabi and Domi Kumbela got the goals.
FSV Mainz and Hoffenheim played to a 2-2 draw at the Coface Arena. Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting and Yunus Malli got Mainz's goals, while Kevin Volland and Roberto Firmino scored for Hoffenheim.
Third-placed Bayern Leverkusen host second-placed Bayern Munich in the late game of the day.
