Liverpool manger, Brendan Rodgers, has rubbished all reports linking the Reds with Mario Balotelli.
Rodgers had praised Balotelli earlier this week, but declared now he won’t chase the AC Milan striker to fill the gap left by Luis Suarez.
"I can categorically tell you Mario Balotelli will not be at Liverpool," Rodgers said as quoted by Sky Sports.
"In my last press conference I was asked a question about Mario Balotelli and I talked about what a talent he was and what an excellent player he was and the next day it was wrote as if we were signing him.
"I just gave my perception of him as a player. It shouldn't be transmitted in to us signing the player."
Rodgers has already signed Rickie Lambert and Divock Origi, who was loaned back to Lille for the remainder of the season, as well as Emre Can, Adam Lallana, Dejan Lovren and Lazar Markovic so far this summer.
However, the Reds boss admits his transfer business is not finished, with last year’s Premier League runner-up beeing linked with Ezequiel Lavezzi and Alberto Moreno.
"We still have a few bits and pieces we would like to do to solidify the group, but there's no names or definite signings yet,” Rodgers added.
