After the 2-2 draw against Livorno this past weekend AC Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi has claimed that the Rossoneri suffer without him.
Massimiliano Allegri’s men are currently ninth in the league, a massive 22 points behind log leaders Juventus. With Roma and Napoli having good starts into the season, even the gap to the Champions League places has opened to 14 points.
Ahead of their decisive Champions League encounter against Thulani Serero’s Ajax Amsterdam on Wednesday, the club’s honorary president, Silvio Berlusconi, has pledged to spend more time at San Siro.
“When I am not dealing with AC Milan, they go wrong,” he told Italian Corriere dello Sport.
“Last year, after a disastrous start, I was more interested in Milan and we nabbed third place. I believe the team need extra care today, too.”
Milan won four out of their 15 Seria A games this season and probably only their Champions League form has kept coach Allegri at the helm. Milan at least need a draw at home against Ajax Amsterdam on Wednesday to progress to the competition's knockout stage.
Will Thulani Serero show a similar display as against Barca and kick the big Italian club out of the Champions League?
