Former Chelsea coach Rafa Benitez has hit back at current boss Jose Mourinho following his Europa League jibe.
The Portuguese has come in to replace Benitez, who was standing in as interim coach at Stamford Bridge following the sacking of Roberto Di Matteo.
Benitez guided the Blues to a UEFA Champions League place while he also lifted the Europa League during his stint.
Mourinho, though, said that he did not want his players to look at that as a goal - saying he would be disappointed to win the Europa League.
"I don't want to win the Europa League," he remarked. "It would be a big disappointment for me. I don't want my players to feel the Europa League is our competition."
"[The Champions League] is the only European competition we have to play and that's the European competition [in which] we have to give our best."
Benitez, who has since taking over as head coach at Napoli, responded saying, "There are many coaches who talk too much to be in the limelight."
