Bayern Munich beat Hoffenheim 2-1 away at the WIRSOL Rhein-Neckar-Arena on Saturday afternoon, thanks to goals from Mario Mandzukic and Thomas Muller.
The win moves Bayern back into the top spot in the Bundesliga, leapfrogging Dortmund, who were temporarily there after thrashing Stuttgart on Friday night.
The first shot at goal only came in the 16th minute, when Philipp Lahm ran into the box, but his shot was from a very tight angle and was dealt with by Koen Casteels.
Thomas Muller had a good chance from just inside the box a minute later but Casteels was able to deflect the ball out for a corner.
In the 20th minute Mario Mandzukic had another chance for Bayern after David Alaba set him up, but his shot went wide to the right.
Bastian Schweinsteiger tried a shot from the right side of the box in the 23rd minute, but it flew over.
In the 25th minute Schweinsteiger crossed to Javi Martinez, but he couldn't quite get a shot off and it went wide to the left off his hip.
Hoffenheim took the lead against the run of play in the 34th minute when Manuel Neuer fumbled the ball from a corner, and teenager Niklas Sule pounced to to make it 1-0.
A minute later Kevin Volland came to close to making it 2-0 as he turned well in the box after receiving the ball from a quick throw-in, but his shot was deflected into the side-netting.
Bayern drew level in the 39th minute when Franck Ribery's free kick deflected off his own player, Mandzukic, and beat Casteels in the Hoffenheim goal to make it 1-1.
The second-half's first chance fell to Jerome Boateng in the 50th minute but his attempt from outside the area flew over the goal.
In the 54th minute Dante got onto the end of a Ribery cross, but his header went over the bar.
A minute later Volland had another chance for Hoffenheim, after he got the ball from Sebastian Rudy, but his shot went high.
In the 66th minute Volland tried a shot from the edge of the area, and it looked to be going into the bottom corner, but Neuer made a good diving save to deflect it out.
Seconds later at the other end Casteel had to come to Hoffenheim's rescue as Muller and Ribery combined in the box, but the goalkeeper came off his line to save at Ribery's feet.
In the 69th minute Ribery had another chance from the edge of the box, but his shot was deflected and just went wide of the goal.
Bayern went 2-1 up in the 75th minute as Ribery got the ball after Bayern won the ball in the box, and squared it to an unmarked Muller to poke home.
Muller could have had another in the 86th minute, when he got to the end of a good cross from Schweinsteiger, but his header flew just wide of the goal.
Muller had another chance in the final minute as he broke through the defence, but Casteels was able to close him down before he could shoot.
